'Look Down' placed in new feature film - November 4, 2013

I am very happy to report that 'Look Down' (co-written with Jeff Rona) has been placed in an upcoming feature film called 'Welkome Home'. It's about a diverse ethnic group of immigrants in New York and will be screened at the upcoming Venice, Tribeca, and Toronto film festivals :-)

Two of my songs, "Cold" and "Thaw", were just placed in the dark comic Euro-trash movie "Who Killed Johnny" slated for release across Europe in 2013

WMUL Radio Interview - November 5, 2012

Song placed on TV: 'Remodeled' (CW, 2/15/12) - February 13, 2012

My song 'Cold' will be featured on the CW show 'Remodeled' this Thursday, Feb 15th, at 9pm. It's a show about modeling, not home improvement, in case you were wondering why my female musings might be accompanying a bunch of blokes hammering drywall.

Song Placed in Movie: Salem Falls - November 19, 2011

'Cry me a Universe' has been placed in the Lifetime movie "Salem Falls" which will air on the Lifetime network on November 19. The song was co-written and produced by my great friend Rich Avrach (available on iTunes or on the Ghosttown CD, http://www.cdbaby.com/louisefraser2)

Song Placed on TV: 'Secret Circle' (CW, 11/10/11) - November 8, 2011

"Cry Me A Universe" will be featured in the new CW hit show "Secret Circle" on Thursday Nov 10th. I am very excited about this because it is one of my favorite shows! I watch it every week, right after the Vampire Diaries, and I'm not ashamed to admit it! (You can hear 'Cry Me A Universe' on my music page, or even better, download it from iTunes :-)

Recording New Album - April 7, 2011

Louise is currently in the studio (Petting Zoo Music, Topanga) recording the last few songs for her second album, tentatively titled 'Thaw'. Keep an eye out for new material and preview tracks that will be posted soon!

House Party - July 17, 2010

Last night I was honoured to share the stage with some truly fine musicians at a House Party in Santa Monica. Jay Nash was headlining and his incredible talent can be witnessed here: http://www.jaynash.com/.

It's the first time I've performed in a while but it wet my appetite for more. I'm also headed back into the studio this month so watch this space......

Billboard World Song Contest - Honorable Mention - July 17, 2009

It's been a while since I've posted a Newsbite, as I've had my head down this year writing and recording new songs for my next album, but I thought I'd appear briefly to let you know that one of my new songs, Thaw, just scored an Honorable Mention in the Billboard World Song Contest :-) You can hear Thaw on the music page of this site. Free show at the Cinema Bar, Sunday 16th Nov, 8PM - November 10, 2008

I'm taking a break from working on my new album to play one more show this year before we all get swallowed up by the holiday season and spat out in January :-)

It's at one of my favourite venues in town - the Cinema Bar - a very casual intimate dive bar (think wood, dark, and christmas lights) and it's known for it's great music. The show is on Sunday 16th Nov at 8PM. And it's FREE :-) See Calendar section for more details.

PS It would be an understatement to say that my new album (due out in 2009, date TBC) is a labour of love. Three years in the making, it's gonna be SWEET!

Regal Cinema chain using my song throughtout October - August 28, 2008

A song I wrote and recorded with the Flir, 'Ghost', has been selected for the October Cinemasounds programme and will be played in the Regal Theatres Chain before the feature films throughout October.

Song placed on NBC show - August 28, 2008

NEWS BITE: My song 'Rollercoaster' was used in episode #201 of the NBC show 'Life' DVD/ online version. It was produced by my great friend, music legend Don Smith. Dave Immerglick (Counting Crows) and Ron Blair (Tom Petty's Heatbreakers) featured on the track.

heading to Seattle.... - August 18, 2008

This September I'm headed to Seattle to play a gig at the infamous Wilde Rover on Monday 15th Sept (more details in the Calendar section).

I'll also be shooting a music video up there, and collaborating with local singer-songwriter Dan Connolly.

I've always wanted to go to Seattle :-)
