Louise Fraser

Louise is set to unleash a darkly cinematic collection of Celtic tracks inspired by her Scottish roots this year. The first track, ‘Hush’, drops 1/21/19.  A devastating funeral lament inspired by the death of her father, James Lethen Young Fraser, and released on the anniversary of his death, Fraser’s lyrics are a deeply poetic eulogy. Set to Martin Tichy's ghost filled landscape of live strings, the overall effect is awash with darkness, infused with pain, and sure to leave anyone with (or without) a pulse in glorious ruin.

The full Celtic collection, ‘Glory’ will feature songs in English and Gaelic, ranging from stripped down single string accompaniment to fully orchestrated battle cries.  Collaborators include film composer Jeff Rona (Traffic, Black Hawk Down, Liquid Cinema) and Martin Tichy (Vienna Symphonic). Watch this space.

'Wake Up' (Ghost Town CD) will be featured in the Jada Pinket Smith produced upcoming indie movie 'Hala'. The film is about a teenage Muslim girl’s coming-of-age in Chicago. 65% of the crew are women as well as the Director and all department heads :-)

My song 'Cold' will be featured on the CW show 'Remodeled' this Thursday, Feb 15th, at 9pm. It's a show about modeling, not home improvement, in case you were wondering why my female musings might be accompanying a bunch of blokes hammering drywall.
