Louise Fraser: News

Free show at the Cinema Bar, Sunday 16th Nov, 8PM - November 10, 2008

I'm taking a break from working on my new album to play one more show this year before we all get swallowed up by the holiday season and spat out in January :-)

It's at one of my favourite venues in town - the Cinema Bar - a very casual intimate dive bar (think wood, dark, and christmas lights) and it's known for it's great music. The show is on Sunday 16th Nov at 8PM. And it's FREE :-) See Calendar section for more details.

PS It would be an understatement to say that my new album (due out in 2009, date TBC) is a labour of love. Three years in the making, it's gonna be SWEET!

more shows added.... - August 18, 2008

This saturday, Aug 23rd, I've been invited to play a fantastic show at Room 5 on La Brea. One of LA's premier booking agents, Mitchell Schaffer, has put together a night of his favourite musicians to celebrate his birthday - and I am honoured that I was asked to play (thank you Mitchell :-)

Mitchell is also a fantastic musician. A unique sound that I might liken to Lou Reed blending with Jeff Buckley (wow) - you can hear him at

The night starts at 8PM, I go on at 10.30PM. More details in the calendar section.

Hope to see you there :-)

Buy Ghost Town..... You Know It Makes Sense! - September 1, 2007

Louise's debut CD, Ghost Town, is now available at CD Baby ( or iTunes and all good digital distribution outlets. In the words of music afficionados: “Ghost Town is a collection of wistful and perceptive songs about love and its roadblocks and detours….. it waltzes into your heart….. it has a sweet expansive sound and the ethereal warmth of a voice that will give your subconscious a hug…. If you float into her universe, you will be dazzled….” (LA based gonzo reviewer Billy Sheppard). A BeSonic reviewer adds "“Cleverly written…. composed with care and played to perfection. This artist’s voice and style are nearly incomparable, and I’m not joking when I tell you she’s one of the best singers in the WORLD!’ Wow. So you really should check it out on the music page :-)
